At times, it felt like a one-on-one battle between Arsenal and Leicester's goalkeeper, Mads Hermansen. Diving left and right, the Danish shot-stopper put on a heroic display that nearly allowed Leicester to leave with something from the game.

James Justin leveled the score 2-2 with a stunning volley from Wilfred Ndidi's cross. Meanwhile, Hermansen made numerous saves that kept Leicester in the game, including parrying a powerful Gabriel header and tipping Leandro Trossard's shot onto the post. He also denied a Kai Havertz volley from point-blank range, showcasing a performance reminiscent of David Raya's finest moments this season.

Despite Hermansen's efforts, Leicester left empty-handed after Trossard’s injury-time goal, which deflected off Ndidi from a Bukayo Saka corner, gave Arsenal the lead. The Gunners, despite being far from their best, had 37 shots—17 on target—and finally made their dominance count with a 94th-minute goal from Trossard, followed by a Havertz strike to inflate the final scoreline.

Leicester, though struggling in the first half, made the most of their limited chances, having just three shots on target throughout the match. For Arsenal, the win was accompanied by a standout performance from Gabriel Martinelli, who was instrumental in their attack. The Brazilian, returning to form after a challenging season, scored Arsenal’s opener and assisted Trossard’s first goal.

Despite the absence of Martin Odegaard, Arsenal controlled much of the match. Martinelli scuffed the ball into the corner for the first goal, while Trossard added a second from a swift pass by the Brazilian. Leicester’s comeback began two minutes into the second half when Justin headed in a free-kick that deflected off Havertz.

Arsenal responded with Gabriel’s header being saved, and Hermansen continued his resistance with further saves. However, Trossard's late goal and Havertz's follow-up sealed the victory for Arsenal, who were seeking their sixth consecutive win against the Foxes.

Leicester, winless in the league and struggling after scraping past Walsall in the Carabao Cup, were left to rue their missed opportunity. Despite Jamie Vardy’s history of tormenting Arsenal, he was kept quiet this time. Arsenal, though not at their best, held firm for a deserved win, while Leicester’s valiant efforts went unrewarded.
