Having reached the League Cup final two seasons ago, only to lose to Manchester United, Newcastle are desperate to win their first trophy under the new ownership. They will be disappointed to face another final without key players, particularly after goalkeeper Nick Pope missed the previous final.
Manager Eddie Howe is also in search of his first major trophy as a manager.
