Arsenal, currently sitting second in the Premier League, welcome third-placed Newcastle United to the Emirates Stadium for what promises to be a tightly contested showdown between two top-four rivals.

Newcastle United travel to the Emirates Stadium to face Arsenal for the fourth time this season, having already completed a clean sweep over the Gunners in their three previous meetings. The Magpies edged a tight 1-0 win in the league on 2nd November thanks to a clinical finish from Alexander Isak, before dispatching Arsenal 2-0 in both legs of the League Cup semi-finals — with goals from Isak and Anthony Gordon in North London, and Jacob Murphy and Gordon sealing the deal at St. James’ Park.

Arsenal

It’s been a disappointing end to the campaign for Mikel Arteta’s side, who were dumped out of the Champions League by PSG and have seen their Premier League title hopes evaporate — now trailing champions Liverpool by a huge 15 points. The Gunners' season promised so much but looks destined to end trophyless once again.

Form-wise, Arsenal are without a win in their last five matches. Most recently, they battled back from 2-0 down to draw 2-2 at Anfield, courtesy of second-half goals from Gabriel Martinelli and Mikel Merino. Before that, they lost both legs to PSG (2-1, 1-0), were beaten 2-1 by Bournemouth, and shared a 2-2 draw with Crystal Palace at the Emirates.

Newcastle United

Eddie Howe’s men are riding high after clinching the Carabao Cup with a 2-1 win over Liverpool — their first major domestic trophy in decades. They currently sit third in the Premier League with 66 points and have one foot in next season’s Champions League, thanks to a superior goal difference over sixth-placed Aston Villa.

Newcastle arrive in solid form, winning three of their last five. They beat Chelsea 2-0 last time out through goals from Sandro Tonali and Bruno Guimarães, and also claimed dominant victories over Ipswich (3-0) and Crystal Palace (5-0). Their only recent slip was a 4-1 thrashing at Villa Park, along with a 1-1 draw away at Brighton.

Betting Tips & Analysis

  • Match Result: Newcastle Double Chance (Win or Draw) — Arsenal are winless in five, while Newcastle have beaten them three times this season and are playing with confidence.

  • Both Teams to Score – Yes: Arsenal have found the net in nine straight home matches, but have also kept just one clean sheet in their last six. Newcastle’s attacking firepower is clicking again.

  • Alexander Isak Anytime Scorer: The Swede has already scored twice against Arsenal this season and remains Newcastle’s key threat in front of goal.

  • Correct Score Prediction: 2-2 Draw — Arsenal are dangerous at home, but Newcastle are far more clinical and settled right now.

The Gunners may hold a strong home record (W10 D6 L2), but their confidence has clearly taken a hit. With Newcastle boasting the league’s fourth-best away form (28 points from 18), the visitors look well positioned to extend Arsenal’s misery and finish the season on a high.
